Corrections & Editorial Policy

AEO Updates is committed to accuracy, transparency, and editorial independence. This page describes how we handle errors, how our editorial decisions are made, and how we are funded.

Corrections Policy

We correct factual errors as soon as they are identified, regardless of when the original article was published. Corrections are noted inline within the article, with a brief description of what was changed and the date of the correction. We do not silently edit published articles.

If you believe an article contains a factual error, please contact us at ian@thepromptgroup.com. We will review your submission and respond within two business days. If a correction is warranted, it will be published within 24 hours of confirmation.

Corrections that materially change the meaning of an article will be noted prominently at the top of the piece. Minor typographical or formatting corrections may be noted at the foot of the article.

Editorial Independence

AEO Updates is an independent publication. Editorial decisions (including which stories to cover, how they are framed, and what conclusions are drawn) are made solely by the editorial team and are not subject to review or approval by any commercial partner, advertiser, or sponsor.

AEO Updates is supported by The Prompt Group, an AEO agency. The Prompt Group does not have editorial oversight of any content published on this site, including coverage of its own products, services, or competitors. Where The Prompt Group is referenced in an article, that relationship will be disclosed.

Vendors listed in the Providers directory pay no fee for inclusion. Inclusion is based solely on editorial assessment of relevance to the AEO market. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as such and will not appear in the editorial article feed.

Sources and Attribution

AEO Updates links to primary sources wherever possible. Where data or claims are cited from third-party research, the original source is linked inline. We do not publish claims we cannot source, and we distinguish clearly between reported facts and editorial opinion.

Analysis articles represent the views of the named author or the AEO Updates editorial team. They are clearly labelled as analysis and should not be read as neutral news reporting.

Use of AI Tools

AEO Updates may use AI-assisted tools in the research and drafting process. All published content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication. AI-generated text is never published without editorial review and revision.

Given the subject matter of this publication, AI search and brand visibility, we consider transparency about our own use of AI tools to be a basic editorial obligation.
